WairIt: the pilot application has been launched!

The WairIt project aims to develop an integrated solution to monitor each individual's personal exposure to air pollution and provide personalised information so that each person is aware of the potential health effects.

DRAXIS is responsible for the overall coordination of the project, as well as the development of the environmental routing service, the visualization of air quality data, an algorithm to provide personalized information, and the development of the web platform and mobile phone application. SEEMS is participating in the project by designing and developing a wearable monitoring system that operates in real-time with low power consumption and high reliability. After months of preparation, the pilot testing of the WairIt Project solution was started by the courier company IDS. Its purpose is to assess the exposure of courier drivers to air pollutants, as well as to map urban pollution in the Greek area at very high spatial resolution.

The project is being implemented by DRAXIS Environmental S.A., SEEMS IKE and IDS Courier under the action RESEARCH - CREATE - INNOVATE and is co-funded by the European Union and national resources through the Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship & Innovation Programme (EPANEK).
